Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup espresso powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Whisk the melted butter and sugar together for 30 seconds. Mix in the espresso powder until evenly combined, then add the eggs and continue mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. Stir in the flour and cocoa powder just until no dry streaks remain.
  4. Spread the batter into a 9×13-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the center is set. For a chewier texture, bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

Notes

For a softer fudgy texture, use the 30-minute bake time and check that the center has set before removing the brownies from the oven.
